The Summit County Arts Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Summit County Colorado. We manage an on going co-operative gallery in Breckenridge, Arts Alive Gallery, which features the diverse work of local artists. One of our most popular events each year is the Meet the Artist show held on the lawn of the Riverwalk Plaza in Breckenridge. MTA brings together visual and performing artists with art loving Summit County residents and visitors. The generosity of the Summit Foundation supports our "Focus on the Child" program, bringing local artists into the schools to work with children. The Annual Snowflake Competition, features teams of school children creating snow sculptures alongside the international artists competing in the Breckenridge Snow Sculpture Championship.

At Winterhawk we offer the total dogsledding experience. From mild to wild, three different locations, private parties to large groups we have something for everyone. Snuggle up under the warm wool blankets and let an experienced guide do all the work or harness up and drive your own team. Afterwards, take a tour of the kennel and spend some time with the puppies. At Winterhawk it’s more than just a ride.

Available December through February. Skating is allowed Dawn to Dusk. Skate under control at all times. Hockey Skating shall use no more than one half of the ice. No bicycles, motorized vehicles, dogs, illegal drugs or alcohol allowed in the park. Skating is the only activity allowed. No materials are allowed to be moved onto the ice. No ice fishing allowed.

All Tours and Snowmobile Rentals begin on trails winding through snow-covered forests as they climb towards the high alpine bowls and meadows of the Continental Divide. Upon reaching the tree line, you’ll leave the forests below you and enjoy wide-open powder riding on high alpine passes crisscrossing the Continental Divide. Complimentary transportation is available on nearly all of our Breckenridge Snowmobile Tours.
