The Summit County Arts Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Summit County Colorado. We manage an on going co-operative gallery in Breckenridge, Arts Alive Gallery, which features the diverse work of local artists. One of our most popular events each year is the Meet the Artist show held on the lawn of the Riverwalk Plaza in Breckenridge. MTA brings together visual and performing artists with art loving Summit County residents and visitors. The generosity of the Summit Foundation supports our "Focus on the Child" program, bringing local artists into the schools to work with children. The Annual Snowflake Competition, features teams of school children creating snow sculptures alongside the international artists competing in the Breckenridge Snow Sculpture Championship.

Our dog sled tours begin with our guides explaining the operations of the sleds and how to handle the beautiful Siberian Huskies we run. We offer a 6-mile relay tour through the Middle Fork of the Swan River, which can handle up to 6 people. The tour is run as a "relay"; all guests will switch off between running the dogs, riding in the dogsled, and riding on a small passenger sleigh with the guide. The tour runs for a little more than an hour stopping along the way for everyone to trade places. The guests on the sleigh have the opportunity to take great action shots and video of the people on the dog sled.

At Winterhawk we offer the total dogsledding experience. From mild to wild, three different locations, private parties to large groups we have something for everyone. Snuggle up under the warm wool blankets and let an experienced guide do all the work or harness up and drive your own team. Afterwards, take a tour of the kennel and spend some time with the puppies. All our sleigh rides depart from the Gold Run Nordic Center (Breckenridge Golf Course). The trails are groomed daily and are relatively flat which is essential for a comfortable and safe sleigh ride. We offer unguided snowmobile rentals or ATV rentals in Summit County, CO. Our check-in office is in Frisco, CO just minutes from Breckenridge, Keystone, Dillon, Silverthorne, and Copper. Whatever season, we have your ride. We can accomodate all types of riding abilities by choosing from single-rider machines or double-rider machines. All rentals include helmet and gas. We will drop the snowmobile or the ATV off at the Vail Pass Recreation Area where you will ride "unguided" through the backcountry of the Colorado Rockies.
