2012 Breckenridge Ullr Fest

Welcome to Breckenridge, Colorado for the 49th Annual Breckenridge Ullr Fest to be held during the winter season from Jan 8-14, 2012. Check our for horned Viking hats adorning the heads of skiers and snowboarders, Ullympic competitors flinging frying pans for prizes, more than 12,000 Ullr enthusiasts filling the streets for the Ullr Parade and crazy float participants skiing off jumps on Main Street or gliding along town in a hot tub.

ULLR FEST Schedule of Events

Sunday, January 8th - Ullr Skating Party (1:00pm - 3:00pm)

Skate with Ullr himself at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, 0189 Boreas Pass Rd. Enjoy hot concessions for sale and $5 skate rentals. Proceeds from this event benefit Al Chaffee Memorial Scholarship fund for High School Seniors.

Monday, January 9th - Ullr Nordic Party & Bonfire (5:30pm - 9:00pm)
Location: Main Street Station. Features the crowning of the Ullr King and Queen. Participation in the event is free.

Tuesday, January 10th – Ullympics (6:00pm - 8:00pm)

The Ullympics features co-ed teams of four competing like crazy for fun and prizes in whacky events at the Maggie Resturant at Peak 9. This is the perfect event for the light-hearted quasi-athlete who can easily laugh at themselves. Get ready for some action. Teams interested in signing up should email the Breckenridge Resort Chamber at events@gobreck.com. Participation is free.

Wednesday, January 11th - The Dating Game (8:00pm)

Breckenridge’s version of the Dating Game is hosted by local radio station KSMT “The Mountain” . Adults over the age of 21 are welcome to attend. For information on how to apply to be a bachelor/bachelorette, call (970) 453-2234 ext. 20 or www.ksmtradio.com

Thursday, January 12th – Ullr Parade/Bonfire (4:30pm)

The infamous and zany Ullr parade kicks-off on North Main Street and moseys south through the heart of Breckenridge. In its 49th year, this is the ultimate in Ullr Fest fun. This is one you cannot miss! Participation is free, register your float or parade entry by emailing events@gobreck.com. The Ullr bonfire will follow the parade in the South Gondola lot between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Friday, January 13th - Comedy Night (7:00pm)
Laugh the night away with a Comedian! Enjoy light appetizers, good friends, and more good times.

Celebrate Thanksgiving Day at Summit Country Colorado

Welcome to Summit County, Colorado and celebrate Thanksgiving Day on November 24rth, 2011. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding or take part in any special events held in the beautiful mountains of Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, and Keystone ski resorts. Try your hand at bowling at Lakeside Bowl in Frisco or go to the movies. You can watch Alice in Wonderland playing at Warren Station in Keystone on Saturday, November 27.

Also enjoy dining at some of the best restaurants in town like “Blue River Bistro” located at 305 N. Main Street, Breckenridge, Colorado 80424. Breckenridge Music Festival

Breckenridge Music Festival is a a nationally recognized, music festival in Breckenridge. It presents performances of chamber music, country music, bluegrass, jazz, rock, world rhythms, and many other genres year round. Key to it all is the highly acclaimed Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra (BMF) led by Maestro Gerhardt Zimmermann. While the repertoire of the Orchestra in residence is largely classical, there’s something for everyone, ranging from jazz and pops to Broadway, opera, dance, rock and  blues. It is supported by funding from the Colorado Creative Industries Division, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Set in the historic mining town turned skiers’ village, summer and winter the Breckenridge Music Festival brings great music to the residents and visitors of Summit County.

Tenth Annual Backcountry Ball featuring Telluride Mountainfilm On Tour

For the first time Summit Huts Association is going to present the Tenth Annual Backcountry Ball featuring Telluride Mountainflim On Tour, a autumn fundraising event on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 from 5 - 10 pm at Riverwalk Center, Breckenridge, CO. “Mountainfilm in Telluride” is one of America’s longest-running film festivals. The evening will start with a silent auction with the best backcountry products. Tickets are $20-$50. Reservations for Summer 2011 and Winter 2011/2012 are now open to everyone. 2011 Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival

Welcome to the 2011 Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival to be held from October 07 - October 09, 4:00 PM - 07:00 PM at the Riverwalk Center, Breckenridge, Colorado. This event is the first of its kind in the state and features small-batch distillers, artisan spirit seminars, fine local cuisine and of course, plenty of sampling and more. Tickets $20.
